- Payment Processing: Payments and transaction-related services are provided by third-party payment and commerce providers, including Lemon Squeezy, LLC, in their applicable capacity.
- Refund Policy: Purchases of digital software licenses are generally non-refundable after delivery, activation, or use, subject to applicable law and any mandatory consumer rights. Free evaluation trials may be available for selected products.
- Warranty Disclaimer: The software is provided “as is” to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Total cumulative liability is capped at the amount paid for the specific license giving rise to the claim.
- Independent Developer: Karo Modum is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, certified by, or officially associated with Autodesk, Inc.
1. Acceptance & Scope
This document constitutes a legally binding agreement between you (“Customer”, “Licensee”, “User”, or “you”) and Karo Modum (“Developer”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), governing your access to and use of our website (karomodum.com) and the licensing, downloading, installation, activation, and use of Karo Modum software plugins and instruments for Autodesk® Revit® and associated digital utilities (collectively, the “Software”).
You may be an individual professional (architect, engineer, BIM manager, or other practitioner) or acting on behalf of a company or other legal entity. If you are entering into this Agreement on behalf of an entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not purchase, download, install, or use the Software.
By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using any part of the Software or Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit any mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable law.
2. Payment & Commerce
Payments and certain transaction-related services (including checkout, payment processing, tax calculation, invoicing, and billing) may be provided by third-party payment or commerce providers, including Lemon Squeezy, LLC, in their applicable capacity.
- Payment Processing: When purchasing a license, your financial transaction may be processed by a third-party commerce provider. Karo Modum does not directly receive, process, or store payment card numbers, CVVs, or sensitive banking credentials.
- Commerce Provider Terms: Transactions processed by third-party commerce providers are additionally governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies. You are responsible for reviewing those terms.
- License Delivery: Upon successful payment, Karo Modum and/or the applicable commerce provider will deliver your license credentials and any necessary activation information in accordance with the purchase terms presented at checkout.
3. Software License Grant
Subject to your compliance with this Agreement and timely payment of applicable license fees, Karo Modum grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download, install, and use the Software solely for your internal professional purposes:
A. Single-Seat License
Each single-seat license authorizes installation and use on one (1) designated computer by a single individual at any given time. Machine reassignment may be available for hardware upgrades, subject to the applicable license management procedures or by contacting support.
B. Multi-Seat & Team Licenses
Multi-seat and team licenses permit installation and use across the number of seats specified in your purchase confirmation. The licensee is responsible for ensuring the total number of active users does not exceed the purchased allocation.
C. Evaluation / Trial
If the Software is provided on a trial or evaluation basis, you are granted a temporary, non-exclusive license solely to test and evaluate the Software’s compatibility and suitability for your needs. Evaluation builds may contain functional limitations or time restrictions.
The Software may require activation, license validation, periodic verification, or other technical measures to confirm the validity of a license. Karo Modum and/or third-party service providers may provide licensing, activation, or license-validation services in connection with the Software.
4. Subscriptions & Recurring Billing
Certain products may be offered on a recurring subscription basis. Where a product is offered as a subscription:
- Billing & Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. Billing, renewal, and cancellation procedures are governed by the purchase terms presented at checkout and the policies of the applicable commerce provider, subject to applicable law.
- Cancellation: You may cancel a subscription at any time through the applicable commerce provider’s account management or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period; the Software remains available until that period expires.
- Expiration: Upon expiration or non-renewal of a subscription, your right to use the Software ceases at the end of the last paid period. Karo Modum is not obligated to provide access to the Software after the subscription has ended.
- Price Changes: Karo Modum may adjust subscription pricing. Any price change will apply from the next billing period after notice has been provided, subject to applicable law.
Products offered on a lifetime (one-time) license basis are not subject to recurring billing. The scope and limitations of lifetime licenses are as described at the time of purchase.
5. License Restrictions
The license granted herein is conditioned upon your adherence to the following restrictions. You shall not, directly or indirectly, nor permit or assist any third party to:
- Copy, redistribute, sell, resell, sublicense, rent, lease, lend, publish, share, assign, or otherwise transfer the Software or license credentials to any unauthorized party;
- Decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or attempt to derive the source code or internal algorithms of the Software, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- Bypass, disable, circumvent, tamper with, or defeat any technical licensing, activation, or access-control measures incorporated into the Software;
- Modify, adapt, translate, merge, or create derivative works based upon the Software or its documentation;
- Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices embedded in the Software, installers, or documentation;
- Host the Software as a service, shared virtual desktop, or cloud wrapper for unauthorized users;
- Use the Software for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable export controls.
6. Refund Policy
Refunds are handled in accordance with applicable law and the refund procedures of the applicable payment or commerce provider. Where permitted by applicable law, purchases of digital software licenses are generally non-refundable after delivery, activation, or use, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that may apply in your jurisdiction.

To help you make an informed purchase decision, Karo Modum provides pre-purchase evaluation resources:
- Free Evaluation Trials: Where offered, Karo Modum may provide free trials or other evaluation periods. The applicable duration and conditions are presented for the relevant product on its product page or at checkout.
- Demonstrations & Documentation: Detailed feature descriptions, video walkthroughs, and technical documentation are available on our website.
- Compatibility Information: Hardware, operating system, and Autodesk Revit version compatibility specifications are published for every product.
We strongly encourage you to take advantage of these evaluation opportunities to verify compatibility and suitability prior to purchase.
7. “As-Is” Warranty Disclaimer
Karo Modum disclaims, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, all warranties, including but not limited to:
- Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement;
- Any warranties arising out of course of dealing, course of performance, or trade practice;
- Any warranty that the Software will operate uninterrupted, securely, or error-free;
- Any warranty that the Software will meet your specific requirements or interoperate with all third-party add-ins or custom configurations in your Autodesk Revit environment.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits any warranty or consumer right that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
8. Limitation of Liability
Autodesk Revit is a complex parametric building information modeling (BIM) environment. You acknowledge and agree to the following:
A. BIM Data & Project File Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Karo Modum shall not be liable for any loss, corruption, unintended modification, or alteration of Autodesk Revit project files (.rvt), family assets (.rfa), project templates (.rte), worksharing repositories, or linked assets arising from the use of the Software.
B. Engineering & Calculation Disclaimer
Karo Modum shall not be liable for errors, miscalculations, schedule discrepancies, or construction delays resulting from the use of the Software. You remain solely responsible for verifying and auditing all BIM data, drawings, and calculations prior to reliance or construction.
C. Backup Obligation
You are independently responsible for maintaining regular backups of all BIM files and project assets prior to running any add-in operations or batch modifications.
9. Autodesk Trademark Notice & Independent Development
Karo Modum is an independent developer of professional tools and plugins for architectural and engineering software workflows.
Autodesk® and Revit® are registered trademarks or trademarks of Autodesk, Inc., and/or its subsidiaries and/or affiliates in the USA and/or other countries. Karo Modum and its products are independent third-party software tools and are NOT affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, certified by, or officially associated with Autodesk, Inc.
All other trademarks, service marks, trade names, and company names cited throughout this website and the Software are the property of their respective owners. Their mention does not imply endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship.
10. Technical Support & Software Updates
- Support Channel: Technical support is provided via email at [email protected] during standard business hours for license-related inquiries, bug reports, and documented feature troubleshooting.
- Scope of Support: Support does not include custom BIM consulting, repairing user project files, writing custom Revit API macros, or resolving conflicts caused by unauthorized modifications or third-party add-ins.
- Software Updates: Minor updates (bug fixes and performance improvements) are generally provided at no additional charge during the active license or subscription period. Major upgrades, support for new Revit versions, or new product modules may be subject to separate fees.
- Compatibility: Each product is built and tested for the Autodesk Revit versions stated on its product page. Forward compatibility with unreleased Revit versions is not guaranteed.
11. Intellectual Property & Ownership
All rights, title, and interest in and to the Karo Modum website, Software, algorithms, user interface designs, icons, documentation, and trade secrets are and remain the exclusive intellectual property of Karo Modum.
The Software is licensed, not sold. Nothing in this Agreement transfers any ownership, copyright, or intellectual property rights to you, except for the limited license expressly granted in Section 3.
12. Termination
This Agreement remains in effect for the duration of your license or subscription period, or until terminated:
- Immediate Termination: Karo Modum may terminate or suspend your license immediately, without prior notice, if you engage in piracy, cracking, circumvention of licensing controls, fraudulent activation, unauthorized redistribution, or other deliberate abuse of the Software.
- Termination for Other Breaches: For other material breaches of this Agreement, Karo Modum may provide written notice and a reasonable opportunity to cure the breach before terminating your license, where Karo Modum determines such opportunity to be appropriate.
- Effect of Termination: Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software, uninstall it from all devices, and delete all copies of Software binaries and license credentials in your possession or control.
- Survival: Sections 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 13, and 14 survive any expiration or termination of this Agreement.
13. Governing Law & Severability
This Agreement and any disputes arising out of or related to it shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law or the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, such provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and Karo Modum regarding the Software and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous proposals, representations, or understandings on this subject.
